About us

Project Overview Text:

TWIN-TECH is an Erasmus+ KA220-VET Cooperation Partnership that aims to strengthen the resilience of vocational education and training systems in the context of the twin transition, combining green and digital transformation. The project develops an innovative four-pillar VET programme designed to equip learners, teachers, and trainers with future-oriented competencies aligned with key European frameworks, including GreenComp, DigComp, and EntreComp. A central element of the project is the development of AI-supported business simulation tools that bridge the gap between education and real labour market needs, while fostering closer collaboration between VET providers, industry stakeholders, and regional actors.

Our Mission: “To empower the VET ecosystem by integrating immersive learning experiences and cutting-edge digital tools that prepare the European workforce for a climate-neutral and digitally proficient future. We bridge the gap between classroom theory and industry reality through AI-driven simulation and modular, competency-based curricula.”

Needs Analysis Highlights

The foundation of TWIN-TECH is a comprehensive needs assessment involving a survey of 200 participants across partner countries, including VET providers, students, and industry experts. The results highlighted a critical urgency for the project:

  • Familiarity Gap: 70% of respondents reported only moderate to low familiarity with green and digital concepts, indicating an urgent need for specialized training resources.
  • Skill Priorities: Digital literacy was identified as the highest priority by 80% of respondents, followed closely by sustainable resource management (65%) and data analytics (50%).
  • Structural Barriers: The assessment revealed that 45% of VET institutions struggle with a lack of funding, 30% have limited access to technology, and 25% report insufficient training for their educators.
  • Perception vs. Action: While 85% of stakeholders recognize the importance of these skills, only 45% consider them a high priority in current VET programs, a gap TWIN-TECH aims to close by demonstrating the long-term impact on employability .
