About
The green and digital transitions are reshaping the way people learn, work and build businesses across Europe. New technologies, sustainability requirements and changing industry practices are creating demand for new combinations of skills. Vocational Education and Training has an important role in ensuring that learners and workers are prepared for these changes.
TWIN-TECH, Twin Transition for VET Resilience, is an Erasmus+ Cooperation Partnership in Vocational Education and Training that responds to this challenge.
The project connects VET education with sustainability, digital transformation, entrepreneurship and real labour-market needs. Instead of treating green and digital skills as separate areas, TWIN-TECH brings them together within an integrated learning approach.
The project will develop a 4-Pillar VET Teaching Programme consisting of 12 modules, structured learning pathways for green and digital skills and an AI-based business simulation platform for practical learning. VET facilitators will receive training in innovative teaching methodologies, while learners will participate in thematic training activities and pilot testing.
TWIN-TECH also strengthens cooperation between VET providers and employers so that education remains connected to evolving workplace needs. The project ultimately seeks to contribute to a VET system that is more adaptable, attractive and prepared for the green and digital economy.
What We Do
TWIN-TECH combines research, curriculum development, training, digital innovation and practical experimentation.
The project begins with the development of frameworks and learning pathways that connect VET with green and digital competences. These foundations inform the creation of the TWIN-TECH 4-Pillar VET Teaching Programme, which consists of 12 modules.
The educational programme is complemented by an AI-driven business simulation platform, designed to create a more interactive and practical learning experience. Learners will be able to explore realistic situations and apply different combinations of green, digital and entrepreneurial competences.
Training activities for VET facilitators and learners will support the practical use of the project resources. The tools and learning materials will also be piloted across the partnership, allowing the consortium to gather feedback and improve their relevance and usability.
Finally, dissemination activities, multiplier events, digital communication and policy recommendations will help extend the project’s impact beyond the participating organisations.
Who Is TWIN-TECH For?
TWIN-TECH primarily addresses VET learners and educators, but its relevance extends across the wider education and employment ecosystem.
VET learners gain access to practical learning experiences that strengthen their preparation for the green and digital economy. Educators and trainers receive new teaching resources, methodologies and digital tools that can support more innovative VET delivery.
Employers and industry representatives contribute an important labour-market perspective, helping strengthen the connection between skills development and workplace needs. VET providers and other education stakeholders can use the project’s resources to support the modernisation of vocational education.
Policymakers and organisations working in education, employment, sustainability and digital transformation can also draw on TWIN-TECH results and policy recommendations to support future developments in VET.
Our Vision
A VET ecosystem where green, digital and entrepreneurial skills are part of everyday learning and where education evolves alongside the world of work.
TWIN-TECH envisions vocational education that does more than respond to change. It gives learners and educators the knowledge, practical experience and confidence to participate in the green and digital transformation of Europe.
Our Mission
Our mission is to connect skills, technology, sustainability and the labour market within practical and innovative VET education.
TWIN-TECH develops learning pathways, educational resources, training opportunities and AI-supported simulations that help learners turn knowledge into practical competence while supporting educators in modernising their teaching.
