TWIN-TECH Presented at DEMOFEST 2026 in Thessaloniki

26 September 2026 | Thessaloniki, Greece

The Erasmus+ TWIN-TECH project was presented at DEMOFEST 2026, held on 26 September 2026 at Aristotelous Square in Thessaloniki, Greece. Fifty-Fifty participated in the festival, introducing its objectives and activities to the wider public and raising awareness of the importance of green and digital skills in vocational education and training (VET).

DEMOFEST 2026, organised by DEMOTRUST under the motto “Our Voice for a Democracy that Inspires”, brought together civil society organisations, youth initiatives and citizens to promote democracy, civic participation and social engagement. The festival was supported by the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung Greece Office and held under the auspices of the Municipality of Thessaloniki.

During the event, Fifty-Fifty introduced visitors to TWIN-TECH’s mission of supporting the twin green and digital transition in vocational education and training. Particular attention was given to the need to equip VET learners, educators and professionals with relevant competences to respond to evolving environmental and technological challenges.

The presentation also highlighted the importance of innovative educational approaches that connect sustainability with digital transformation, helping individuals develop the knowledge and skills required in a rapidly changing labour market.

Participation in DEMOFEST 2026 provided a valuable opportunity to increase the visibility of TWIN-TECH beyond the VET community, reach a broader audience and encourage discussions about the role of education in supporting a more sustainable, digitally competent and inclusive society.

TWIN-TECH’s presence at DEMOFEST 2026 reflects its commitment to making green and digital education more accessible and relevant to European communities, while strengthening connections between vocational education, innovation and society.
